Our first night in Frankfurt was lots of fun! We went to Old Town and found lots of cool little places. Frankfurt was really empty and really quiet though. It was kind of weird. Then, we stumbled upon a pizza place that was packed! So we decided- it must be busy for a reason and had dinner there; despite the fact that we wanted authentic German food and were now settling for Italian. So we sat down and the waitress suggested the sweet apple wine, as she said that was the most popular beverage among the locals. Which by the way, was the bomb. She said their pizzas were their best dishes so we took her advice, and boy was she right!! It was seriously the best pizza all of us had ever eaten. Sadly, we had to get it to go cuz we lost track of time. We had to be back at the main train station by 10:45pm to catch the last shuttle back to our airport, but since it was still so light outside we thought we had plenty of time. WRONG!! It was now 9:54pm and we still hadn't gotten our food and we had to take 2 different trains back! Needless to say, we ended up haggling with some middle eastern men at 11:30 to try to get back to our hotel. It was super scary but... I'm alive so it was fine hahaha. Here we are enjoying our "Apfel Wein & Pizza"
